Could you provide Ferdi with a new forever home?

-

AN ELDERLY dog who is young at heart is looking for a new forever home after his owner sadly died.

11-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Ferdi, arrived at Dogs Trust Loughborough in March 2018 and has shocked the team with his puppy-like zest for life.

Ella Tonge at Dogs Trust Loughborough, said: “Ferdi is amazing and he definitely doesn’t know he’s approaching his twilight years! He might be a senior citizen but he behaves like a pup, especially if there is a tennis ball to chase!

“He is more than ready to head off to his new home so we’re hoping he doesn’t have too much longer to wait before his special someone realises he’s the dog they’ve been waiting for.”

Ferdi’s owner had registered for a Dogs Trust Canine Care Card which is a free service, guaranteeing Dogs Trust will look after dogs and find them a new home if their owner dies.

Ferdi would like a quiet home without children or other pets. As an older dog he can be wary of meeting new people so would like to spend time with his new family at the rehoming centre before heading home with them.

He is in a quieter part of the rehoming centre so if you think you could provide him with his ideal home, please call Dogs Trust Loughborough on 0300 303 0292. You can visit the Rehoming Centre at Hill Farm, Wide Lane, Wymeswold, Leicestershire, LE12 6SE. Or find out more at www. dogstrust.org.uk.
