Bottom Railway open up 10 point lead at the top

BOTTOM Railway BA opened up a 10 point lead at the top of Blue Ball Division One of the Loughborou­gh and District Pubs & Clubs Darts League after their 7-2 win against the Royal Oak Shooters last week. Mark Smith hit his third and Ben Quenby hit his fourth maximum of the season for the Railway as they extend their lead, although the Bull and Bush Lions who did not play have a game in hand.

Spot On MP won 7-2 against Barrow Cons Wagg’s Gang to remain third with Royal Oak DP who beat the Tap and Mallet JB in fourth.

In Wanty’s Division Two leaders Unicorn AW beat the Three Nuns Left Footers 5-4 to stay six points clear of second place Bull and Bush who beat the Bell Foundry Blue Army 7-2. The Arena Gladiators had another good win beating the Bull and Bush Laughing Boys 6-3 and they move up to third ahead of the Spot On Rejects and Three Nuns Exiles.

In S H Cox Division Three, Crown Court now lead the division after their 9-0 whitewash of the Dewdrop Blues, previous leaders Spot On Reds lost 5-4 to the Spot On Guy’s ‘n’ Gals and drop to second three points behind the leaders. The Old English Gentleman and Black Swan JS both won 5-4 to keep the pressure on the top two and only seven points now separate the four.

In Generous Briton Division Four Top Railway Wansum beat the leaders Bottom Railway Leftovers 6-3 in a re-arranged game, and with another 6-3 win against the Crown Jewels last Thursday move up to second place eight points behind the ‘Leftovers’. Tap and Mallet CD remain third after their 7-2 win against the White Hart Stags with the Generous Briton So Certs in fourth.

Finally in Jim Kidger Division Five the Generous Briton Luffs won the top of the table clash and take over the top spot from the Black Swan BWA after their 6-3 win, however the Black Swan do have a game in hand. Garrett Rogers hit a maximum for the Tap and Clapper Rojo’s and Jodi Brooks one for OEG Dad’s Army as the ’Rojo’s‘ won 6-3 to remain third.
