VILLAGE SHOW. Diseworth Village Show will take place on Saturday, September 8, from 1pm - 5 pm on the village hall field.

Jam-packed with games and activities, it’s a fun day out for the whole family.

The day includes a children’s entertaine­r, dog show, sumo wrestling for children and adults, a licensed bar, cake and food stalls as well and some great Raffle Prizes to be won!

This is a popular traditiona­l village show with classes for flowers, fruit, vegetables and produce. There are also classes for arts, crafts, photograph­y together with a children’s section.

Dominic Heale, journalist and broadcaste­r on BBC East Midlands today, will present the prizes.

Jane Cunningham, show organiser said: “We are delighted that Dominic has agreed to present the prizes this year.We would also like to thank all residents and business people who have generously supported us with sponsorshi­p and prize donations.

“Let’s hope this glorious weather continues and that lots of families come and enjoy a fun filled afternoon.” Entry fee is £2 per adult and children are free.

New for 2018 is after show entertainm­ent with food, live music and bar open until late. £7.50 per person.
