Quad’s10th
DERBY’S Quad will be celebrating its 10th anniversary with a number of outdoor screenings, including one huge free event. The art and film venue, based in the centre of Derby, will be officially marking a decade of business with a free outdoor screening of The Greatest Showman.
The musical, starring Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, and Michelle Williams, tells the reallife story of P.T. Barnum and will be screened on Derby Market Place on Wednesday from 8.15pm on a 12-metre inflatable screen. The screening will also include subtitles.
In addition, 10 years of Quad will also be celebrated through the Best of 10 Ten film season where 10 films will be played inside the venue from each year it’s been open.

Past screenings have included A Town Called Panic, Hunt For The Wilderpeople, The Grand Budapest Hotel and Drive.
As part of the celebrations, QUAD will also revisit Bill Drummond’s The17: Slice Through Derby, one of its opening exhibitions, which will relive the 1,700 people who took part in the performance event.
Other celebrations include a Quad members’ screening and a Marketing Derby Bondholder event in addition to VIP events.
Derby Festé will also mark the decade by projection mapping a film on to the Quad building.
