Cup action sees Mountsorrel Amateurs seal 5-0 triumph
IN THE Saturday Intermediate Cup 1st Round Greenhill YC beat Belton Villa 4-0 with Jamain Nelson hitting a hat trick and Nathan Tomlinson adding the fourth. Falcons FC won 2-0 at home to Ingles FC Reserves, Joe Moxom hitting both the Falcons goals.
Mountsorrel Amateurs hit five without reply at home to GNG Development, Joe Landers (2), Ollie Freckingham, Ryan Smith and Connor Smith with the Ammies goals. Rothley Imperial went down 2-0 at home to Ashby Ivanhoe Knights, while Sutton Bonington lost 2-1 away at Loughborough FC, James Wilks for Sutton.
In the Saturday Trophy 1st Round Market Bosworth won 4-2 at home against AFC Andrews, Daniel Morris (2), James Hurst and Terry Godfrey with the Bosworth goals. East Leake Robins drew 3-3 with Loughborough United and went through 5-4on pens, Alex Pritchett, Tom Hardy and Joe Trimble for the Robins, Leon Pennant, Chris Stevens and Brian Mulroe for Loughborough. FC Polonia lost 3-1 at home to Glen Villa, Pawel Chalubinski for Polonia. Bottesford FC drew 3-3 away at Leicester Three Lions but went out in the shoot out 3-2, Alex Robinson, Jonny Whitmore and Josh Stevenson with the Bottesford goals.
In the Saturday Vase 1st Round Birstall Old Boys beat Loughborough Emmanuel 5-2, Mike Burns (2), Sam Sturman (2) and George Agar for Birstall, Tom Tibbenham and Luke Harris replying for Emmanuel. Bottesford FCC Reserves won 3-1 away at Mountsorrel FC, Andy Daybell, Mark Powell and Luke Pinnock for Bottesford, Harry Throne for Mountsorrel.
Goals from Daniel Robinson (3), Linford Harris (2), Callum Johnston, Kaine Laird, Joe Holland and Matt Garner gave Wymeswold FC Reserves a 9-2 win away at Quorn Rangers, Lewis Smart hitting both the Quorn goals. Sutton Bonington Reserves beat Market Bosworth Reserves 3-0, Tristan Pulford, Patrick Hood and Luke Woolley with the Sutton goals. Measham Welfare Reserves won 5-1 away at Woodhouse Imperial Reserves, Tom Gutteridge, Jay Pallett, Reece Daniel, Ross Hollis and an own goal for Measham, Jon Dixon for Woodhouse. Loughborough United Reserves drew 3-3 with Greenhill YC ‘ A’ with Greenhill progressing 6-5 on pens, Sean Waters, Dave Newton and Matt Tait for Loughborough, Jonathon Hemsley, Callum Neeson and George Smith for Greenhill. Thringstone MW Reserves won 5-3 away at Glenfield Town Reserves, Daniel Wright (2), Lee Chiswell, Chris Leather and Tom Holt on target for the Miners Reserves. Ravenstone United beat Shepshed Amateurs Reserves 2-1, Jordon Russell and Monirul Islam for Ravo, Zac Wilcox for Shepshed.
Sporting Markfield Reserves won 4-0 away at Thorpe Acre, Conor McGahan (2), Aiden Bates and Josh Woolman with the Markfield goals. Asfordby Development won 5-4 on pens after drawing 4-4 away at Thurnby Willows, Rhys Hill and Luke Howitt grabbing a brace each for Asfordby.
