Loughborough Echo - - NEWS -

THE Loughborough Library Local Studies Volunteers are presenting a display of some less familiar Ladybird books.

Among those on show will be examples of Ladybird books published to mark a variety of historical anniversaries, national institutions, sporting events, USA-only publications and special editions as used by industry.

The work of a local Ladybird photographer is celebrated and the process of developing a Ladybird book from its inception to the finished product is illustrated.

The company’s early development under the guidance of Henry Wills and William Simpson Hepworth, their personal stories and milestones in the company’s Loughborough history are presented.

The free exhibition will run until the end of October, during library opening hours.
