Ho, ho ho! Here we go

The fantastic Santa Fun Run is back on the streets again

-

HUNDREDS of Santas of all ages will be lining up to start running, jogging and walking for charity once again at 11am on Sunday, December 2, in Loughborough Market Place for the annual fun run

The Santa Fun Run, a firm Loughborough pre-Christmas favourite in its 13th year, is organised by members of the Rotary Club of Loughborough and since its inception over half a million pounds has been raised for charities.

Last year alone 30 charities benefited.

The generally flat, 5K route starts in the Market Place after the Best Dressed Dog parade and the traditional warm up by local fitness expert Becky Bounce.

The proceedings will be expertly pulled together by Master of Ceremonies and Love Loughborough chairman Les Cope-Newman aided and abetted by the Dame from the Town Hall’s Beauty and the Beast Pantomime.

The Rotary Club members organise this fun event for the serious business of raising sponsored funds for local and national charities alike.

Although charities such as Rainbows, LOROS and Prostaid are regularly supported, this year will see Dementia UK and the East Midlands Immediate Care Scheme feature.

Any entrant can raise sponsorship for their favourite charity, with all proceeds being divided between those specified.

It’s never too late to enter as entries are taken on the day but to secure a place register on-line on www.santafun-run.co.uk and collect your Santa suit from Loughborough Building Society’s High St, Branch.
