A beauty of a tale as the Town Hall panto begins

-

IT’S that time of year again - oh, yes it is!

With magical costumes completed, shimmering sets ready and all the performers deep in the final stage of rehearsals, this weekend sees the start of Loughborough Town Hall’s spectacular pantomime Beauty and The Beast. After preparations throughout 2018, this year’s pantomime promises to be the most spectacular yet, with magical sets, outrageous costumes, mayhem and monstrous fun!

Following critically acclaimed reviews from last year’s Robin Hood, alongside three nominations in the Great British Pantomime Awards 2018, producers Little Wolf Entertainment are more determined than ever to keep Loughborough’s reputation for high quality pantomime.

The venue is also building on last year’s successful Access performances, including a relaxed performance, aimed at people with sensory difficulties, learning difficulties and communication disorders, alongside a signed performance, offered to those who may be deaf or hearing impaired.

Set in the pretty French village of Mont-SurRelle, bookish Belle is ready to start a new chapter and find some adventure. However,

Belle, her friend Idle Jacques and his mum Betty the local bell ringer, get more than they bargained for when they find themselves trapped inside the enchanted castle of a mysterious beast.

Coun Jenny Bokor, lead member for Loughborough, said: “We’re hugely excited to see this year’s pantomime of Beauty and the Beast take to the stage this season. Colleagues from both Little Wolf Entertainment and across Loughborough Town Hall have been working hard throughout the year to ensure the show is of the highest quality and we have no doubt that it will get everyone into the festive spirit.

“I am particularly pleased to see the involvement of many talented young people from across the county in our junior ensemble, giving them invaluable experience of performing in a professional theatre setting. Tickets are selling quickly so make sure you book quickly to avoid missing out.”

Morgan Brind, co-producer of Little Wolf Entertainment said: “We’re hugely excited to be bringing this tale as old as time to the Town Hall this Christmas. Not only have the whole team been working hard for months to bring all of the beautiful sets and costumes to life but the cast have been working their socks off creating some jaw dropping song and dance routines as well as some side splitting comedy! We’ll see you all there!”

Loughborough Town Hall and Little Wolf Entertainment’s production of Beauty and The Beast is taking place from November 24, 2018, until January 6, 2019. Tickets are on sale and can be purchased by calling 01509 231914 or by via loughboroughtownhall.co.uk
