Bull and Bush Lions take over at top of the table

BEN Quenby and Chris Peat both hit maximums for Bottom Railway BA as they beat leaders Royal Oak Shooters 6-3 in Blue Ball Division One of the Loughborough and District Pubs & Clubs Darts League last week.

The Bull and Bush Lions take over at the top of the division as a result after they beat the Royal Oak DP 5-4, with Bottom Railway BA in second place and the ‘Shooters’ now in third. Michael Walker hit a maximum for the Three Crowns Spookies as they beat Spot On MP 7-2 to move up to fourth and only three points now separate the top four teams.

In Wanty’s Division Two the Blacksmiths Exiles beat Tap and Mallet JB 7-2 in the top of the table clash and are now the only unbeaten team left in the division. The Royal Oak Bluemoon Foxes join the ‘Exiles’ at the top after their excellent 8-1 win against Crown Court and Gemma Gillman hit a maximum for the Old English Gentleman 5&4’s as they won their first game of the winter season to move off the foot of the table.

In S H Cox Division Three, leaders Three Nuns Albion survived a tough game against the Bull and Bush Laughing Boys as they beat them 5-4 to stay four points clear of the Crown Rejects who beat the Three Nuns Right Footers 7-2.

In Generous Briton Division Four Ryan Thacker hit a maximum for the Black Swan BWA as they maintained their winning start to the season with a 6-3 win against the Anchor Hathern and replace them at the top. Mark Bradley also hit a maximum for Tap and Clapper Rojo’s as they beat the Tap and Mallet CD 5-4 to move up to second place. There were also first wins of the season for the Royal Oak Old Uns and Generous Briton Beer Legs as they beat the Plough B and Dewdrop Blues respectively.

Finally in Jim Kidger Division Five the Rose and Crown Rockets are now top after their 7-2 win against the Three Crowns and Tiaras and the Blacksmiths Hammers remain second despite losing 5-4 to the Bottom Railway CS. The Blue Ball JLA are third after their 7-2 win against the White Hart Stags and the Royal Oak Oakers won again beating the Plough Ernie’s by the same score.
