Festive lights go up in Quorn

Loughborough Echo - - LETTERS -

FORMER Leicester City player and football pundit Steve Walsh was joined by sports commentator Ian Stringer as they set the streets alight at Quorn when they switched on the village Christmas lights.

This concluded an afternoon of activities that included musical entertainment, fairground rides, gift stalls and food bars.

Two of Santa’s reindeers stopped by for a short rest as they prepared for a busy month.

A spokesperson said that although it was a very cold afternoon it was very well attended and everyone warmly welcomed Steve and Ian.

Thanks to the White Horse pub for organising and sponsoring the event. Its charity, White Horse Wishing Well, provides support for many needy causes.

Steve Walsh and Ian Stringer are pictured at the turning of the Quorn Christmas lights.
