Rothley Imperial clinch away victory in the Premier Cup

IN THE Premier Cup Group A Greenhill YC won 4-1 away at Mountsorre­l Amateurs, Nathan Tomlinson (2), Jamain Nelson And Karl Harratt for Greenhill, Jason Medcroft for the Ammies. In Group B Rothley Imperial won 2-1 away at Kegworth Imperial, Emido Chiavetta and Anthony Wood for Rothley, Jay Shephard replying for Kegworth. Sutton Bonington drew 2-2 with Belton Villa, Mark Bell and Elliott Cooke for Sutton, Michael Lidwell and Monirul Islam for Belton.

In the Chairmans Trophy Group A Market Bosworth won 2-1 away at FC Coalville, Ben Gascoigne and Liam Buskin for Bosworth, Phil Downing for Coalville. Greenhill YC Reserves drew 3-3 with Measham Welfare, Lewis Mead (2) and Ryan Thornley for Greenhill, Noah Hurst, Turin Harkin and Corrie Caswell for Measham. In Group B Bottesford FC beat CK Dons 3-2, Mark Cowling, Tom Richardson and Stu Brown for Bottesford, Kemal Yeniberitz for the Dons.

Wymeswold FC reserves drew 0-0 with Asfordby Developmen­t FC. In Group C a Nathan Ball strike gave East Leake Robins a 1-0 win at home to Shepshed Amateurs while goals from Shane Reynolds (3), Jake Rimington, Sam Rimington, Kia Gee and Simon Harper gave Sileby Victoria a 7-0 win at home against Greenhill YC ‘A’. In Group D FC Polonia beat Shepshed Amateurs Reserves 3-0, George Ninca, Dominik Krol and Lucasz Hinz with the Polonia goals. Loughborou­gh United drew 4-4 with Thringston­e MW Reserves, Leon Pennant (2), Sam Kibble and Nathan Lowe for United, Michael Odiam, Dale Wight, Damo Lawrence and Ashley graham for Thringston­e.

In the Sports Advocate Division Two Woodhouse Imperial won 4-2 away at Loughborou­gh Emmanuel, Danny Prime (2), Ashley Murray and Ashley Heffer for Woodhouse, Sam King and Matthew Duxbury for Emmanuel.

Windmill Trophies Division Three Leaders Sporting Markfield Reserves beat Sutton Bonington Reserves 8-1, Connor McGahan (3), Callum Rousseau (3) and James Evans (2) for Markfield, Patrick Hood for Sutton.

Goals from Reece Daniel (4), Reece Laud (4) and Tom Gutteridge (2) gave Measham Welfare Reserves a 10-0 win at home to second placed Thorpe Acre to move above Thorpe Acre into second spot. Market Bosworth Reserves beat Mountsorre­l FC 2-0, William KirklandBe­ll and Jake Marlow with the Bosworth goals.

A brace from Matt Litchfield gave Birstall Old Boys a 2-0 win away at Woodhouse Imperial Reserves. Loughborou­gh United Reserves won 5-4 away at Quorn Rangers, Chris Stevens (4) and Mark Lakin for Loughborou­gh, Gary Warren (2), John Cowan and an own goal for Quorn.

In the Saturday Intermedia­te Trophy County Cup quarter final Falcons went through to the semi finals wining 5-4 on pens after a 2-2 draw with sporting Markfield, Danny Pownall and Mark Scofield for Falcon, Tom Cary hitting both the Markfield goals.
