Anstey election

CONSERVATIVE candidate Paul Richard Baines has been elected as the Charnwood Borough councillor for Anstey.

The December by-election took place following the sad death of Coun John Sutherington.

In a close contest Coun Baines took 523 votes, while his Labour opponent, Glyn Stanley McAllister, polled 507 votes.
