Showhome furniture is donated to Rainbows
Items to be housed in revamped family rooms
FURNITURE from the showhome at one of Housebuilder William Davis Homes’ most popular developments has been given a new lease of life after it was donated to Rainbows.
Beds, desks and chairs from the four-bedroom showhome at the company’s Grange Park development in Loughborough have been handed over to the hospice, for its soon-to-be refurbished family rooms and potentially other refurbishments at the charity’s HQ in Lark Rise.
The furniture, in pristine, unused condition, was deemed surplus to requirements after the showhome was given a makeover complete with new furniture, decor and homeware throughout.
Rainbows’ matron Helen Coop
er said: “On behalf of everyone at Rainbows, I would like to thank William Davis Homes for the very kind donation of furniture.
“At Rainbows, we have four family flats which provide accommodation for parents and siblings while their child is staying in the hospice. In the New Year, we will be refurbishing these so we will look to rehome some of the furniture there or in other rooms around the hospice.
“We rely solely on donations here at Rainbows to enable us to continue to provide support for our children, young people and their families so we’re really grateful for this fantastic contribution.”
Sally Brookes, senior sales manager at William Davis Homes, said: “We’ve just updated our entire showhome’s interior design scheme and when deciding what to do with the existing furniture we knew we wanted to find a good local home for it.
“We could think of no better place than Rainbows, which continues to make a huge and vital difference to the lives of children and young people and their families in this area.”
