Bottom Railway BA win top of the table battle

-

BOTTOM Railway BA beat the Bull and Bush Lions 5-4 in the top of the table clash in Blue Ball Division One of the Loughborough and District Pubs & Clubs Darts League last week.

The Bottom Railway maintained their one hundred percent record with a close win to open up an eight point gap over their nearest rivals at the half way stage of the season. Chris Wilson hit his fourth maximum of the season for the Royal Oak Shooters as they beat the Three Crown Spookies 5-4 to move into second place ahead of the ‘Lions’ who have the same points but have played a game more. Chris now leads in the race for the coveted ‘Most maximums in the first division trophy’ for the season with Jake Selby and Andy Hibbert one behind him on three each. Leon Jarram and Steve Hopkins both hit maximums for the Spot On MP as they beat their colleagues the Spot On Waifs & Strays 6-3, and Dougie Porter also hit a maximum for the Royal Oak DP as they beat Barrow Cons Wagg’s Gang by the same score. Champs AW beat the Bull and Bush B 5-4 in the final game in the division and division one teams should note that Champs AW will be playing the rest of their home games of the season at the Spot On.

In Wanty’s Division Two Joe Parkin hit a maximum for the Bell Foundry Blue Army as they beat the leaders Royal Oak Bluemoon Foxes 5-4. Spot On Reds beat the Spot On Rejects 8-1 the highest winning margin of the night and move up to second place, four points behind the leaders with the Blacksmiths Exiles who beat Fat Sam’s 26er’s 5-4 in third, a further point adrift.

In S H Cox Division Three, Crown Rejects beat the Bull and Bush Laughing Boys 5-4 and are now eight points clear of the Three Nuns Albion who beat the Top Railway Knockouts by the same score. Fat Sam’s Groovy Gang have withdrawn from the division so games against them for the remainder of the season should be considered a Bye. As they withdrew before the half way stage of the season all results against them to date are declared ‘Null and Void’ and the points in the division will be adjusted accordingly.

In Generous Briton Division Four Ryan Thacker hit his second maximum of the season for leaders Black Swan BWA as they beat the Dewdrop Blues 7-2, and second place Tap and Clapper Rojo’s beat the Windmill Wild Hearts 5-4.

Finally in Jim Kidger Division Five the Rose and Crown Rockets beat the White Hart Stags 5-4 in the top game of the division and they now lead the Blue Ball JLA by nine points after they lost 5-4 to the Three Nuns Bad Habits.
