Half-term activities across Charnwood

FROM den building to archery, there are plenty of things for the kids to do in Charnwood this half-term thanks to a holiday activity programme from Charnwood Borough Council.

The activities will run from Monday, February 18, to Friday, February 22, at locations across the borough including Loughborou­gh, Birstall, Sileby and Shepshed.

Coun Deborah Taylor, the council’s lead member for communitie­s, said: “Our holiday activity programmes always prove popular and we hope what’s available this half-term is no different.

“Half-term is packed with different activities including the return of horse riding lessons and new sessions of forest schools and futsal.

“We’re committed to helping children in the borough to stay active and healthy and these activities are a fun and affordable way of doing that.”

Most of the activities are suitable for children of all ages and families are welcome to come and watch and take part in a number of events.

Activities on offer include: Den building, cheerleadi­ng, indoor bowls, family yoga, boxing, geocaching, all stars cricket.

The price of activities starts from £1, with a number of free activities available.
