Heart of England Orchestra
THE Heart of England Orchestra celebrates its 20th anniversary season in 2019 with a concert in the new Memorial Hall in Mountsorrel.
It takes place on Sunday, February 10, at 3pm.
The orchestra’s popular programme includes Vivaldi’s Four Seasons with outstanding violin soloist Amy Littlewood.
Conducting the concert is Paul Hilliam who has lived in Mountsorrel for over 20 years.
He said: “The new Memorial Centre is a fantastic facility and this will be the first orchestral concert in the venue.
“Having founded the Heart of England Orchestra 20 years ago, the fact that I can conduct the orchestra’s anniversary concert in the village where we live is tremendous.”
The Heart of England Orchestra consists of the very best classical musicians from the Midlands and is renowned for the quality and exciting energy of its performances. Locally is best known for its performances at the Beaumanor Fireworks Concerts.
Further afield it has played at Buxton Opera House, the Royal Concert Hall Nottingham and Derby Cathedral. It has also given schools concert is Leicester.
