Cup win for Mountsorrel Amateurs

THE Premier Cup Group A saw Mountsorrel Amateurs beat Sporting Markfield 2-1 with goals from Ryan Smith and Damon Waldrum, Byron Quilter for Markfield. In the Premier Cup Group B goals from Tom Henson, Tyler Day, Connor Reynolds and Jake Green gave Kegworth Imperial a 4-0 win at home against Belton Villa.

In the Shedland.co.uk Division One Bottesford FC beat Measham Welfare 4-2, Owen Park (2), George Crowther and Mark Cowling for Bottesford, Luke Bodell and Torin Harkin for Measham. East Leake Robins were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Market Bosworth, Nathan Ball and Mitch Williams for the Robins, Duran Cummins and Matthew Beazley for Bosworth.

The only game in the Windmill Trophies Division Three saw Sutton Bonington Reserves beat Mountsorrel FC 4-1, Jack Tormey hitting a hat trick with Elliott Cooke making up the four for Sutton, Gary Cole for Mountsorrel.

In the Chairman’s Trophy Group D FC Polonia won 6-1 away at Thringstone MW Reserves, Hubert Puzio (2), Lukasz Hinz (2), George Ninca and Piotr Domka for Polonia, Dale Wight for Thringstone. Shepshed Amateurs Reserves beat Loughborough Emmanuel 5-2, Jake Griffiths (2), Danny Locke, Simon Evans and an own goal for Shepshed, Luke Harris and Kyle Callis for Emmanuel.

In the Saturday Trophy County Cup semi final Woodhouse Imperial lost 6-2 against GNG FC Reserves, Craig Tebbs and Josh Adkin with the Woodhouse goals.

In the Saturday Vase County Cup semi final Wymeswold FC Reserves booked their place in the final at Holmes Park with a 5-2 win at Scraptoft United, Linford Harris (2), Kane Laird, Jake Perkins and Dan Robinson with the Wymeswold goals.

In the final they will play Cosby Development who beat Sporting Markfield Reserves 3-1, Callum Rousseau scoring the Markfield goal.
