DIVISION ONE EAST LOUGHBOROUGH DYNAMO 1

TADCASTER ALBION 2 LOUGHBOROUGH Dynamo fell to defeat at the hands of Tadcaster Albion as Jack Walters scored a brace for the visitors either side of Ryan Robbins’ equaliser.

The visitors did start the brightest of the two sides, Casey Stewart found space in the opening minutes which forced a save out of Charlie Taylor.

Dynamo grew into the game and were awarded a penalty in the 14th minute as Luke Foster was fouled in the area. Karl Demidh stepped up to the spot but the forward’s spot kick was sent over the bar to deny Dynamo the lead.

Loughborough looked more and more likely to score, Alex Steadman found himself one on one with Albion ‘keeper Michael Ingham, but the goalkeeper produced a good challenge before Robbins’ shot was blasted over.

Dynamo had another chance in a one on one situation. It was Demidh with the chance this time but Ingham was there once again to smother the ball and deny Dynamo once again.

The home side could have felt aggrieved for not taking the lead but they went 1-0 down just after the half hour mark. An in swinging corner for Tadcaster found the head of a leaping Jack Walters, who made no mistake from around 12 yards out.

The action wasn’t done there however. An almost instant reply from Dynamo, after going a goal down, was just what the doctor ordered before half time. Robbins was slipped through quickly after kick off and the striker’s finish went across the face of goal and into the bottom corner for his 15th goal of the season.

The second half was finely poised for an even battle, both sides played out an interesting physical midfield battle. Steadman and Demidh had the pick of the chances for Dynamo, both drawing saves out of Ingham, but the Albion keeper stayed firm.

Tadcaster began to put pressure on the hosts in the last 15 minutes. Corey Roper’s shot from the edge of the area took a deflection and caused some distress for the Dynamo defence, before being cleared.

The pressure was being felt. With only 10 minutes left on the clock, a dangerous free kick from the visitors was turned round the post by Taylor. The resulting corner was met by a cluster of players but it was Walters who turned it in to double his tally for the evening.

Dynamo pushed but were unable to find an equaliser against a difficult Tadcaster side as they travelled back to Yorkshire with three points.
