Charnwood’s physical activity programme returns

-

A PROGRAMME which helps residents become more active is returning for 2020.

Charnwood Borough Council’s Choose to Move is a 10-week physical activity programme which offers weekly weigh-ins

and exercise classes for anyone looking for a healthy way to kickstart the new year.

The programme starts on Tuesday, January 21, at Charnwood College, Loughborough and will be held every week between 7pm - 8.30pm.

Coun Deborah Taylor, the

council’s lead member for communities, safety and wellbeing said: “This programme is a great way for residents to become more active in a friendly and welcoming environment.

“This is just one of the ways our

Active Charnwood team help residents increase their physical activity and live healthier lifestyles. I would encourage anyone looking to get more active to sign up for Choose to Move.”

The weigh-in sessions are optional and will take place between 7pm - 7.30pm. The exercise classes are suitable for all fitness levels and will run from 7.30pm - 8.30pm.

The 10-week programme costs £25 and everyone who attends eight or more exercise sessions will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a 12-month gym membership with Fusion, usually worth around £300.

The Choose to Move programme was formerly known as Charnwood’s Largest Loser.
