Crackdown on town speeding

POLICE have carried out a speeding crackdown operation in Loughborough.

Sergeant Lee Taylor said: “I wanted to update you that the 64 Beat Neighbourhood team have completed a speeding operation in the area of Derby Road, Loughborough after a recent collision at the junction with Darwin Crescent.

“It was a very positive result - finding no offences of speeding during our time there.

“It is reassuring to see road users keeping to the appropriate speed limits, ensuring they and other users stay safe and can continue to enjoy this festive period in peace.”
