Rolls-Royce jobs set to go by mid-year
A “SMALL number” of Rolls-Royce workers were predicted to lose their jobs at its Mountsorrel base.
The national company’s Are Engine Division announced that its workforce would be reduced by mid-1970 by about 3,500 employees from its present level of 45,700.
One of the factories affected was at Mountsorrel and the Echo was informed a “small number” of people would be involved.
