STAMFORD 1

LOUGHBOROUGH Dynamo ended the decade with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against high-flying Stamford despite conceding a last-gasp equaliser at the ADT Stadium.

Dynamo started the brighter of the two teams and created a couple of early openings to take the lead.

Firstly, Danny Gordon did well to find Bardsley-Rowe on the right-wing who pulled the ball back to Norris, but his half-volley flew way over the bar.

Then moments later, BardsleyRowe did well to beat his man and cross into the box, but Karl Demidh couldn’t keep his header on target.

Despite those missed opportunities in the first few minutes, chances were few and far between for both sides throughout the first-half.

Stamford began the second period on the front foot and went close on a number of occasions but ‘keeper Jay Alexander denied Rob Morgan from long-range and Siddons on two occasions with smart saves.

However, it was Dynamo who took the lead on 55 minutes. Curtis Burrows’ free-kick was met by Norris and he steered a header into the bottom right-hand corner to send the home fans wild.

As the half wore on, Stamford started to dominate possession which left gaps in-behind for Dynamo to break on the counter.

They nearly doubled their advantage mid-way through the half through Demidh, but his powerful low effort was saved by Danny Haystead and Danny Gordon poked the rebound wide of target.

But the Daniels pressed for an equaliser and they found a way through in the fifth minute of added time. Morgan found substitute O’Hare inside the right channel and he tucked the ball home past Alexander with virtually the last kick of the game.
