Winter wonderland at RNIB College

-

PARENTS and carers of current students were invited to RNIB College Loughborough’s Winter Performance.

Each year, the staff and students work hard to put the festive event together, and this year the college was transformed into a Winter Wonderland.

On arrival, guests were impressed by the wonderful decorations that had been made by students in the Arts and Craft sessions. Decorations included paper snowflakes and icicles hanging from the ceiling, frosted pine cones around doorways.

The Arts Centre featured the college’s annual Christmas tree festival; trees created by staff and students.

This year’s event included a photo booth, set up in the college’s media hub. Visitors had their photos taken in front of the green screen, posing with festive outfits and props.

There were lots of stalls to browse, including a tombola, a handmade jewellery stall, a festive bake sale and the handmade wreath sale.

Weeks of hard work culminated in videos, songs and live performances, including a Christmas Hakka, a reenactment of Home Alone at RNIB

College Loughborough, a Caribbean Feliz Navidad, and a visit from the Polar Express!

College principal, June Murray, concluded the event by thanking everyone for coming to watch the performance, and thanking the staff and students for all their hard work on the Winter Wonderland.
