Town feature film lands video deal

-

AWARDWINNING debut feature film by Raya Films - Do Something, Jake - which was shot entirely in and around Loughborough, is celebrating its official video on demand release by USA distribution company Meridian Releasing Group (MRG).

DVD and blu-ray formats went on sale last year, but now the film is available via online streaming/download (VOD) via Amazon.

Directed by James Smith, with a screenplay by producer, Caroline Spence, Do Something, Jake packed out the 280-seat auditorium in the Odeon Loughborough for the film’s world premiere, before enjoying further sell-out premieres and festival screenings.

The film also picked up the Best Feature Award at the Midlands Movies Awards back in March 2019.

Starring Jamie Alderson in the title role, Ed Bergtold (Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps) and local actress Mia Mills (Black Mirror), Do Something, Jake is a 110-minute crime thriller with a strong thread of humour, an unconventional hero and bad guy right out of The Sopranos.
