Record year for Alexanders

ESTATE agent Alexanders, which has an office in Loughborough, says it is proud to announce it sold more than £70m worth of property in the Midlands in 2019.

Tom Smith, senior partner said: “We have enjoyed a record year for the firm in some of the most challenging market conditions seen since the last recessionary period, and firmly believe that the local property market was strong across all sectors subject to the client receiving the correct advice in relation to the positioning and marketing of their property in the marketplace.

“Of particular note Alexanders agreed sales on 86 per cent of all of the properties that we listed for sale in 2019 across our operating patch at values ranging from £110,000 to £1,750,000.

“We saw some hesitancy throughout 2019 in the higher end of the sales market, but now that the political situation looks to have stabilised and with an exceptionally busy first fortnight in January we expect strong uptake in the local market at all levels throughout 2020.”
