Danceathon cash booster for Australia

-

A ‘DANCEATHON’ fund-raiser has raised £556 to help animals in Australia.

Venia Byrom who runs ‘Dance with Venia’ staged the event at Rawlins Academy in Quorn on January 17 and said she was delighted with the level of support.

“The turn out and support was incredible. We had so much fun raising the money in those two hours of dancing! I’m sure the charity will be delighted. I’m so lucky to have so many enthusiastic customers that are always willing to come and give their support.

“I did an hour of Zumba and my own programme called V- dance and a 30 minute introduction to Fitsteps, the Strictly Come Dancing programme of professional Strictly dancers Ian Waite & Natalie Lowe.

“And an instructor called Emma Parry from Kegworth came to do 30 minutes of Clubbercise.

“Doing what we love from afar to help the animals felt great. All in all it was a great evening, super workout and all for a good cause.”
