Former High School pupil gives a performance
THE last lunchtime concert at Loughborough Baptist Church featured a former pupil of Loughborough High School.
It featured Vanessa White, who has been studying for the last three years at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester specialising in violin performance.
Having performed two years ago she was invited again and gave an outstanding performance of works by Mozart, Bach Paganini, Gluck and Prokofiev which brought prolonged applause and generous donations for the work of Rainbows Hospice.
She was originally taught by her father Christopher White who tutors at Rugby School and Loughborough High School and on the previous visit was accompanied by her mother, Melanie Reinhard, who is head of keyboard studies at the High School.
However this time she brought her own regular accompanist with her, Radu Prisada, who is from Romania and a fellow advanced student in Manchester. They are both commited to solo work and chamber music performance with small groups and are surely names to watch out for in the future.
