Sutton Bonington
■ Sutton Bonington is a village lying along the valley of the River Soar in the Borough of Rushcliffe. Originally, it was two settlements, recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as “Sudtone” and “Bonitone”.
■ The village has its own parish council, primary school, village hall and library and can boast to having two medieval churches.
■ On its outskirts is the Sutton Bonington campus, part of the University of Nottingham.
The campus is home to the School of Biosciences and the School of veterinary Medicine and Science.
