LOUGHBOROUGH Town 2nd XI travelled to Leek, hopeful of building on a disappointing draw the previous week and taking three points.

Town started brightly enjoying a good period of possession and creating multiple chances. However, several mistakes led to Leek getting first on the score sheet. The rest of the half was back and forth with the score at half time being 3-3, with Hatley and Sargent both getting on the score sheet for Town with the latter continuing his run of two goals a game.

The second half started with Town determined to come home with three points. Town built pressure on the Leek defence, winning multiple short corners. Two alternative corner routines saw Horsfall and Henderson get on the score sheet with the away side creating a two-goal lead.

All in all, a good day out for Town with notable good saves from Vishal Dhutia and a solid performance from right back by man of the match Lawrie Bayne.

Next week Loughborough host Coventry & North Warwick 1st XI, hopeful to get another three points.
