LEICESTERSHIRE SENIOR LEAGUE DIVISION ONE LOUGHBOROUGH FC 0 ANSTEY TOWN 3

ANOTHER Saturday and another defeat for The Luffs.

The Loughborough side began brightly looking the better side and Mayokun Okusanya headed an early chance just over the bar. Anstey replied and it took a timely tackle from the young full back Rajiv Palmer to stop them in their tracks.

The Loughborough keeper Brandon Holgate was out quickly at the feet of Matt Bray and when Anstey’s Richard Kirk went clear he was there again to save.

Nicholas Abede beat the Anstey defence for pace and shot just wide, Alex Smith headed just wide as The Luffs at this stage of the game were giving as good as they got.

The youngster Rida Koultouma headed just past the post as the chance and half chance came and went until the inevitable happened.

With the Loughborough side getting excited about the possibility of a goal Anstey found a gap in their defence and Mark Brown ran through to make it 1-0. Heads went down a bit at this setback and with the visitors tails up Joe Harris made it 2-0 at half time.

A few strong words at half time put the Loughborough side back in the mood and the Anstey keeper James Hughes immediately had to make a save while skipper Jack Godkin showed a bit of trickery to get past his marker only to shoot well over the bar.

Rida Koultouma went on a mazy run to force keeper Hughes into a save, he was just one of the Lufss youngsters who are beginning to show their paces and that in itself is a positive.

The Luffs brought on substitutes Gulain Lusambya and James Hughes and it refreshed the team, Lusambya headed just wide and he should have won a penalty but it wasn’t given for ther second time in the game but these decision do not go to way of the struggling team.

In the dying minutes with the home side still looking for some reward Mark Brown helped himself to a second goal and it was yet another flattering result for their opponents.

The Saturday The Luffs are at home again this time to Birstall United.
