Competitions get underway again at Rothley Park

THE first competition of the year at Rothley Park Golf Club was the Lady Captain’s 18 Hole Waltz Competition

held on a glorious sunny day with clear blue skies. The winning team was Sinead Corcoran, Victoria Mayfield and Mandy Horsley with a fabulous team score of 59 stableford points. Runners Up were Cate Alexander, Bea Cotton and Barbara Philpott with 57 points.

Three days later the club played host to the Lady Captain’s 9 hole Waltz competition which was won by Jan Dorn, Pauline Lowe and Kali Morecroft, who coped very well with the conditions and came in with a great stableford score of 29 points. Runners Up were Ronnie Porte, Anne Freeman and Belinda Needham with a score of 24 points.
