New website for Probus club

CHARNWOOD Probus Club’s first meeting of 2020 was held at our venue, Longcliffe Golf Club, on Thursday 16th of January, where 27 members and two guest enjoyed a superb meal.

Lunch started with a stilton infused soup followed by roast lamb for our main course. Sweet was sponge pudding and custard, a members favourite because it invokes school dinner memories, and rounded up with the usual coffee and chocolates.

One of our guests, Steph, was in attendance to introduce to the members our brand new website, www.charnwoodprobus.co. uk, but sadly through no fault of hers we were let down by technology.

The club laptop took a sudden liking to “Flight Mode” and would not come out of it and that stopped the visual presentation. However the site was introduced to the members and I am sure will prove to be a positive asset to the club.

We do have room for more members so if you think you may be interested simple check out the website, make contact and come along and see what we are about.

If nothing else you will have a very nice lunch and you will be surprised at the laid back nature of our meetings.
