Charity store reopens with an expanded range of stock

A CHARITY shop in Loughborough has reopened with an expanded offering.
The Oxfam shop, in Market Street, has reopened as a book and music store with a new selection of DVDs, CDs and books. The shop has been closed for six months.
The store is no longer taking donations of clothes and homeware but current donated stock is being sent to other Oxfam shops.
An Oxfam clothes bank is still in place at Sainsbury’s if you have any donations. Managers are asking for donations of good quality books.
All items are isolated in store for 48 hours before they are sorted. A spokesperson for the shop said: “We look forward to seeing new and our regular customers back in the shop.
“We have missed you. The books on offer include: contemporary fiction thrillers and crime, historical fiction (new), science fiction and fantasy, classics, plays, poetry and literary biography, history, local, British, world and military, art, architecture (new), crafts, cookery, health and wellbeing, gardening, pets, birds and natural history, sport, business and transport, science and technology and children’s books from pre-school to young adults. The music will cover all the categories from classical to rock to easy listening, books CDs, vinyl and sheet music.”
DVDs will include: classic movies scifi and horror TV series including box sets, specialist categories such as sport, comedy, keep fit and Chinese.
The shop is looking for volunteers, especially those with previous retail experience and an interest in books and music.
