Employers seek staff at virtual jobs show

-

DOZENS of employers will be recruiting at an online jobs fair.

The Virtual Job Show Leicester, sponsored by Leicestershire County Council and Leicester City Council’s travel initiative Choose How You Move in Leicester and Leicestershire, will take place on October 14.

Caroline Connaughton, of the Virtual Job Show, said: “Our last face-to-face event was carried out in Leicester during March 2020 so we are delighted that our first virtual event will be at the city.

“The Virtual Job Show is the ideal meeting point for potential employers.

“It is an online recruitment and employer branding event similar to our traditional face-to-face event but fully digitised.

“Visitors can meet potential employers without leaving their home or office and recruiters can access a large candidate pool.

“There is a very positive vibe in Leicester and Leicestershire and we are delighted to be back.

“A big thank you to Choose How You Move in Leicester and Leicestershire for its support and to our many top recruiters in Leicester and surrounding areas which will showcase jobs and apprenticeship vacancies.

“Whether you want to improve your prospects, been made redundant, are looking for a career change, or you may be an adult or young person seeking an apprenticeship or you just simply want to get back into work, don’t miss the Virtual Job Show.”

Councillor Ozzy O’Shea, lead member for highways and transport at the county council, said: “As we return to work and our roads get busier it is so important for residents to know their travel options.

“Our Choose How You Move team are proud to be sponsoring the Virtual Job Show and continuing to advise people on greener, healthier and cheaper ways to commute and empower residents to leave their car at home.”

The show runs between 11am and 3pm at: thevirtualjobshow.com
