- News Reporter By ASHA PATEL

AT least four women have been killed – allegedly at the hands of men – in Leicestershire since the murder of Sarah Everard in March.

Since Met Police officer Wayne Couzens was convicted of Ms Everard’s kidnap, rape and murder last week, campaign groups and charities have called for immediate action to tackle violence against women.

According to campaigning website Counting Dead Women, since the death of Ms Everard, 81 women have been killed in circumstances where a suspect is a man.

Of those, four happened in Leicestershire and men have since been charged with their killings.

However, investigations are ongoing into the deaths of women not mentioned in the list.
