AUTHOR S. D. Johnson, left, has seen her first novel, My Father’s House, go on sale after she clinched a deal with Canadian publishers Extasy Books.

It is now on sale worldwide and is receiving five-star reviews from across the globe.

UK readers can purchase the book in paperback or on Kindle from Amazon.

Further details, and the story of its journey from pen to print, can be found on her website – sdjohnsonwriter.co.uk.

My Father’s House, released in October, is a contemporary family sage and tells the stories of the successive people who live in a large family house in the town of Atherton.

The author said: “It is a tale of love and loss, jealousy, intrigue and the agonies of PTSD. It is a book of laughter and tears.”

Extasy Books have also taken up her earlier novel, Redemption. This is currently being edited and will appear later this year.

It will be published under a different title, and is being seen as a special novel for the 21st century reader.

S. D. Johnson ended a teaching career and moved to East Leake in 2017 to be closer to family.

That move led her to join East Leake writers’ group, The Leakey Pens.

She attributes her success in publishing to the advice and encouragement of its members.
