The Spot On Waifs and Strays take over at top

THURSDAY saw week two of the Loughborou­gh and District Pubs and Clubs Darts League, with some teams opening their season and others retaining or losing their early 100% records.

In the Bull and Bush Division 1 the Spot on Waifs and Strays made it two from two to go top of the table with a 5-4 home win against The Windmill Exiles.

They are now two points clear of the Royal Oak Shooters who lost 5-4 away to the Barrow Cons Club Waggs Gang in their first game of the season with Dave Cox scoring a maximum and a 109 finish.

Also two points behind are the Bull and Bush Lions who beat Bush Rejects 7-2 despite a 180 from Neil McHugh and a 110 finish from Kev Towell.

The Bottom Railway BA and The Three Crowns are yet to start their season with their game to be rearranged and the Ring ‘O’Bells had the bye.

In the Spot on Division 2 there teams remain unbeaten with the Three Nuns Bluemoon Foxes beating Spot on LSU Sexy and we throw it 7-2. This puts them three points clear of the Bull and Bush Laughing Boys and the Plough Thorpe Acre who both won 6-3 against the Spot on LSU 26ers and Riddled with Dartitis Top Railway respective­ly.

The Windmill Blue Army won their derby against the Windmills A 7-2 and the Bull and Bush Counts beat the Spot on Guys and Gals 6-3.

A majority of the results in the Three Nuns Division 3 ended up 5-4 with the Three Nuns Left Footers beating Generous Briton Beerlegs with Sam Chauhan hitting a 180. Royal Oak Old uns beat the Three Nuns Albions and the Crown Shepshed retaining their unbeaten record beating the Black Swan JS.

The Peacock A recorded one of the highest victories of the evening beating the Three Crowns 8-1. The Crown Shepshed’s 100% record leaves them two points clear of the Three Nuns Albions and The Peacock A.

In the Generous Briton Division 4 two teams remain unbeaten with the Spot on Foxes equalling the Peacocks highest margin with a 8-1 win over the White Hart Stags and the Top Railway Laffables beat the Barrow Cons Club Convicts 6-3. These results give the Foxes a three points cushion at the top.

The other two games in the Division were both 5-4 the Dewdrop Black Pearls beating the Three Nuns Bad Habits and despite a Wayne Cooper 180 the Barrow Cons Club Discombula­ted lost at home to the Hathern Club.
