NHS was better than private hospital

RE: article by Isaac Ashe about NHS patients in private hospitals

I beg to differ with the findings as reported.

In January 2020 I had cataract surgery at Royal Infirmary, brilliant, felt as though they cared next day sight clear, drops for a month, all sorted.

Other eye I was referred to a private hospital, in March 2021 a whole series of problems, almost had our own parking space as return visits were needed, to the extent of 3 in one week. The surgeon had to go back into my eye and turn the lens, dreadful experience, all this took 11 weeks.

It was resolved in the end, but the experience was sadly lacking.
