Willoughby on the Wolds

SCHOOL. Active fund-raising from the Friends of Willoughby-on-the Wolds Primary School has made a big difference to the lives of the children at the school.

Over the past two years the Friends have contributed to or provided full funding for Key Stage Two French lessons, the Year Six leavers’ hoodies, the end of term trip to Twycross Zoo and the water cooler

The Friends have also provided welcome packs for the parents of new starters om 2020 and 2021 and the entertainment and cake for the school’s Big Birthday Bash to celebrate each child’s birthday as they were not able to do this with friends during the past Covid year.

The Friends organise a 100 Club, handing out two cash prizes a month, a village cookbook raised £400 and a Safari Sale raised a further £205.
