Aladdin is bringing some festive fun to town

-

THE annual panto at Loughborough Town Hall is now in full swing and will be performed at the venue until January 2.

The team at the venue and producers Little Wolf Entertainment are thrilled to welcome audiences back to their award-winning pantomime which, this year, sees everyone’s favourite tale of Aladdin take to the stage with the return of fan favourite and winner of Best Dame in the 2020 Great British Pantomime Awards, James Peake, in the role of Widow Twankey.

James is joined by Kristian Cunningham - himself nominated for the award of Best Leading Male at the Great British Pantomime Awards - in the title role of Aladdin. They are performing alongside a stellar cast and incredible backstage team, which has been built over the last seven years of Loughborough Town Hall and Little Wolf’s winning collaboration, seeing a record five-star rating from industry leading newspaper The Stage for a phenomenal five years in a row!

In the timeless tale of getting more than you wished for, take a Christmas trip to the town of Shangri- La where Aladdin wishes the Princess would notice him; the Princess wishes she could lead a normal life and Aladdin’s mother wishes she could remember what she came in here for... and where’s that rusty old lamp come from?

With spectacular sets, sinister sorcerers, breath-taking special effects, caves full of surprises, mountains of mayhem, gorgeous costumes and genies who’ve kept things bottled up for a while, Aladdin is sure to grant all of your festive wishes in this action-packed adventure for the whole family.

Simon Gibson, Venue Manager at Loughborough Town Hall, said: “We’re thrilled that rehearsals have gone well for this year’s production of Aladdin and are hugely excited to be welcoming back such talented performers to be part of Loughborough’s much loved and critically acclaimed pantomime.

“What better way to say goodbye to 2021, than by spending time with family and friends enjoying all the thrills, spills, laughter and fun that pantomime provides. We can’t wait to welcome you here this winter.”

Morgan Brind and Alan Bowles, Co-Producers at Little Wolf Entertainment, added: “It’s great to be back to dazzle and delight audiences once more! Pantomime in Loughborough is a treasured part of thousands of people’s festive celebrations, and we can’t wait for audiences to see what’s set to be a truly mesmerising show!”

Aladdin runs at Loughborough Town Hall until 2nd January 2022 with tickets starting from just £15.
