Coalville 2nd XV prove too strong for Shepshed

SHEPSHED played away at Coalville’s Premier Memorial Ground on a sunny afternoon with a gentle breeze into their face during the first half.

The visitors started the game with some dominance over Coalville and came close to a score on several occasions. However, it was Coalville who made the first score with a try out wide after 25 minutes.

Another try and conversion, near to the posts, made towards the end of the half gave the home side a12 point advantage at half time.

Shepshed playing some attacking rugby brought themselves back in the game with a try in the corner by Sam Armistod early in the second half. On 55 minutes. Coalville renewed their points advantage with a well taken try out wide. Shepshed put themselves with a good chance of a win with Armistod’s second try in the righthand corner.

On 75 minutes Coalville secured the victory with a try near the posts, which was converted, giving them a 24-12 win.
