Drivers will face six-mile diversion in the new year
DRIVERS are being given advance notice of works due to begin on January 5 on Iveshead Road in the town of Shepshed.
The works, by Severn Trent Water, will close off a section of the main road, forcing drivers on a major diversion.
Beginning at the A512, diverted motorists will be sent along the B591 and carrying along the B-road before eventually arriving at Warren Hills Road in Coalville.
It’s a diversion of more than six miles while Severn Trent carry out connection works with new developments in the Iveshead Road area.
Leicestershire County Council say they do not expect the works to last longer than three days.
