Help is on offer for men to lose weight
MORE help is being made available to men in Leicestershire looking to lose weight, exercise more and eat more healthily.
Leicestershire County Council’s Men’s Weight Management service is setting up new face-to-face sessions to where men can get support from experts - and each other - as they improve their lifestyles.
It is hoped that by meeting others, making healthier decisions, and changing long-term habits and behaviour, people will develop confidence and enjoy lifechanging health benefits.
Held in partnership with Active Leicestershire, Men’s Weight Management is offering a free, 12-week programme, delivered locally in group sessions with a mixture of workshops and sessions of manageable physical activity.
A specialist health and wellbeing coach, sports trainers and nutritionists have developed the programme that aims to be interactive and introduce imaginative food ideas.
