PITCHING IN NORTHERN PREMIER LEAGUE

MIDLANDS SHEPSHED DYNAMO 2

CHASETOWN 1 SHEPSHED Dynamo extended their unbeaten run to three in a row and two home victories against teams in third place with a 2-1 home win against Chasetown at The Dovecote Stadium.

For the second game on the trot Shepshed knew they had a task on their hand after beating Halesowen on Saturday they were up against a side who had only lost once all season coincidentally to Halesowen.

Chasetown came at Shepshed with pace but it was new signing Massiah McDonald who gave Dynamo the lead on 40 minutes. Reece Morris doubled the lead on 62 minutes.

It was deja vu as Shepshed were reduced to 10 men with Jordan Smith sent off and Chasetown then pulled it back through a penalty late on through Jack Langston.

The Scholars threw everything at it but Shepshed held out for maximum points again.

On Saturday, Shepshed travel to seventh placed Carlton Town for their final game before Christmas.
