Rainbows fireworks event raises over £46,000 for the hospice

A Fireworks Spectacular held in Leicester has raised £46,465 for Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People.

For a smaller event than usual, 8,000 people turned out at Leicester Racecourse to support the Loughborough-based charity on November 6.

Claire Hoggan, Rainbows Events Fundraiser, said: “Last year, we were all bitterly disappointed to cancel this event. So for this year to be such a success, even though we had to reduce the capacity, it is just incredible.

“The Fireworks Spectacular is one of our biggest fundraisers and the money it raises for us is invaluable in helping us to provide care and support to those children who need it the most.

“Thank you so much to everyone who supported the event, we couldn’t have done it without you all.”
