Where facemask rules won’t prove effective
THE latest health requirement for senior schoolchildren to once again wear a facemask in class is a total waste of time for some.
I refer to those, like my granddaughters, who have to catch a school bus morning and afternoon each day where no enforcement of masks is made.
Yes, one can tell the child to wear a mask whilst in transit, but as no-one is accompanying them, there is noone to enforce this. The bus driver cannot be held responsible to enforce this requirement other than, perhaps, when the children first enter the bus.
After that, he is required to keep his eyes on the road whilst driving, and has little if any control over what is happening on board.
