Leaders tighten grip at the top

THIS Thursday, all four divisions of the Loughborou­gh and District Pubs and Clubs Darts league were in action and the draw for the 3rd round of the Barrow Conservati­ve Club Knockout Cup and The Darts Shack Knockout Plate to be played on Thursday, February 10, was made.

In the Bull and Bush Division One, after playing a double header against Three Crowns, Mick the Flicks the Bottom Railway BA are now 12 points clear and still unbeaten after winning both games 7-2, Chris Peat with 2x 180s and a 136 finish. The Bull and Bush Lions won the local derby beating the Bush rejects 6-3, Dave Sloan and Kev Bryan with maximums for the Lions. Barrow Cons Club Waggs Gang are still in pursuit with a 5-4 away win against Royal Oak Shooters Mark Wagg with a 180 for the Cons Club. The other game in Division One saw the Windmill Exiles beat Spot on Waifs and Strays 6-3.

The Three Nuns Bluemoon Foxes returned to the top of The Spot on Division Two with a seven-two victory over Spot On LSU Sexy and We Throw It retaining the Foxes’ 100% record. They are now two points clear of the Plough Thorpe Acre who were beat 6-3 at The Top Railway Riddled with Dartitis. With the Bull and Bush Laughing Boys and Spot on LSU 26ers called off the Windmill Blue Army took advantage to go third beating Windmill A’s 7-2. The other result in the division saw a narrow win for the Spot on Guys and Gals 5-4 over the Bull and Bush Counts.

In the Three Nuns Division Three, The Royal Oak Olduns are now 17 points clear of the Three Nuns Albions after they beat the Albions 7-2. Despite a 6-3 defeat to the Black Swan JS the Crown Shepshed are now third. Three Nuns Left Footers lose 5-4 to the Generous Briton Beerlegs and The Peacock A-Team beat Hathern Three Crowns 5-4.

In the Generous Briton Division Four The Top Railway Laffables beat Barrow Cons Club Convicts 6-3 and are now nine points clear of the Hathern Club who beat Barrow Cons Club Discombobu­lated 5-4. The Boat beat the Three Nuns Bad Habits 7-2 and the Spot On Foxes are still on the tales of the top three beating White Hats Stags by the same score with Martin Moreland scoring a 180 for the Foxes.
