We have other crises to concern ourselves with

-

WELL, here we are all shouting for the resignation of Boris, and in many respects quite rightly so. I personally do not condone what he did, it was unforgivable.

But here we have another crisis, the energy crisis. Do we also blame Boris for this? I often ask myself, has this country of ours been governed at all for the last 50 years?

Many of the older generation will remember the kind of life they led in the 1960-70s. The working men’s clubs, the entertainment, the safe journey home, the safe environment in which you lived. Public transport was plentiful. Police readily available. And murders very, very rare.

I remember as a teenager reading a document outside of Winson Green prison, of a person being hanged for murder. Pierrepoint was employed on a part-time basis. Today, he would be employed fulltime, with overtime.

Yes, hanging was barbaric, but I wonder how many people are thinking it should be brought back? Certainly people who have lost loved ones at the hands of criminals. What a country we now live in.

Let’s touch on Brexit, too. Nigel Farage was so pleased we had got our country back, but we all know we are slowly losing it.

My heart goes out to the migrants looking for a better life, but as the Taliban has taken over Afghanistan, I also feel our country is being taken over. As the population increases, so does the crime and the murders.

I understand recruitment of new police officers has stopped and our prisons are full. So I say to the MPs, keep shouting for Boris to resign but ask yourselves, what have goverments done for this country in the last 50 years to make it better.

We certainly have more concerns than Boris.
