Bottom Railway BA still unbeaten

IT WAS the third week of the second half of the season in the Loughborou­gh and District Pubs and Clubs League last week.

In the Bull and Bush Division One The Bottom Railway BA are still unbeaten and are now eight points clear with a game in hand after their 6-3 away win against third placed Barrow Cons Club Waggs Gang. Andy Hibbert with two 180’s for the Bottom Railway and M.Wagg for the Cons Club. they remain seven points behind second placed Bull and Bush Lions who beat the Windmill Exiles 6-3. Although Waggs Gang have a game in hand. Ring o Bells LH went fourth with the Bush Rejects having the bye as they beat Spot on Waifs and Strays 8-1. Tim Hardy with a maximum for the Spot on.

In the Spot On Division Two, Three Nuns Bluemoon Foxes still have their 100% record in tact after their 8-1 away win over Bull and Bush Counts. Paul Williams and Chris Northage with 180’s for the Bluemoon Foxes. They are three points clear and two games in hand on second placed The Plough Thorpe Acre who beat Spot on LSU 26ers 7-2. The Windmill Blue Army are a further 10 points behind in third but their 7-2 win over Spot on LSU Sexy and we Throw It leaves them seven points clear of fourth. Spot on Guys and Gals beat the Bull and Bush for the second week in a row 5-4 this time over the Laughing Boys, Michael Sciepanow and Bradley Cave with 180’s for the Guys and Gals and Laughing Boys respective­ly. The Windmill A’s closed the gap at the bottom of the table with a 5-4 home win over Top Railway Riddled with Dartitis, Graham Smyth with a 104 finish for The Windmill.

The Royal Oak Old Uns are 20 points clear in the Three Nuns Division Three, they beat Generous Briton Beerlegs 5-4 with Ian Wootton with a 136 finish for The Old Uns. The Three Nuns Albions have a game in hand and remain second despite a 5-4 defeat at home to Three Crowns Hathern, Terry Neal with a 180 for the Albions. Three Nuns Left Footers won 7-2 at The Crown Shepshed and the Black Swan JS beat the Peacock A-Team 6-3.

In the Generous Briton Division Four, the Top Railway Laffables remain six points clear after their 5-4 away win at Barrow Cons Club Discombobu­lated. Hathern Club are second after their 8-1 win over White Hart Stags and the Barrow Cons Club Convicts are third after their 7-2 win over Three Nuns Bad Habits. Both The Boat and Spot on Foxes had byes.

This Thursday sees the latest rounds of the Barrow Conservati­ve Club Knockout Cup and the Darts Shack Knockout Plate. Hopefully those who have been eliminated from the Cups will take advantage of catching up on outstandin­g games.
