Madness singer Suggs to pay a visit

-

MADNESS frontman Suggs will be bringing his celebrated one-man show - A Life In The Realm Of Madness - to Loughborough Town Hall on Tuesday, February 15.

From the tough streets of North London to the roof of Buckingham Palace – Suggs has been there and has a story to share.

And he is back on the road in 2022 sharing more from those experiences – and many more tales from his throne in Suggs: A Life In The Realm Of Madness.

The show follows on from his previous smash hit tour My Life Story, in which the Madness frontman told how he got there. This time out, he shares the surprises waiting for him on arrival. The 24-date tour starts in Hereford and visits towns and cities including Edinburgh, Warrington, Yeovil and Margate, ending in Worthing.

Tickets for the tour are on sale now from venues direct or ents24.com

Suggs – real name Graham McPherson, said about going back on tour: “If the first show was about how on earth I got to where I am, then this one is about what happened when I got there.

“The stories include suffering vertigo on the roof of Buckingham Palace, nearly blowing the closing ceremony of the Olympics, and the embarrassing stuff that happened at Glastonbury.

“I’ve always been waiting for a tap on the shoulder and to be asked ‘What are you doing here, sunshine?’.

It’s surreal really, to look back at 12-year-old me compared to everything that’s happened since. Madness, you might say!”

Joined by his trusty pianist, Deano, Suggs tells his story in words and music, with the help of some Madness classics and his own tracks, weaving a tale which is sure to delight fans.

Loughborough Town Hall also hosts, on February 18, The Magic of Motown show.

Seen by over a million people, the show is in its 16th year touring the UK.

A spokesperson for the show said: “It’s no surprise that this show is one of the biggest success stories in British theatre history.

“Come celebrate our brand-new show as we Reach Out and show you there ain’t no mountain high enough with the biggest Motown party of the year.
